Inspiration & Advice
How to create a portable modular green wall
Want a lush green wall, but you rent?
You’re not alone. Renting doesn’t mean you have to settle for blank walls and one sad plant in the corner. You can build a portable, modular green wall that looks stunning and comes with you when you move.
You want lush, trailing vines and dreamy “I drink my coffee in a jungle” vibe? Jack will help you achieve that vibe without losing your bond.
What is a portable green wall?
A portable green wall is a moveable plant display made using garden mesh, garden stake and hooks. Instead of attaching plants permanently to the wall, everything hangs on a structure. It’s renter friendly, modular and easy to rebuild in a new space.
If you’re renting, this setup is ideal because it’s:
- Freestanding or minimally fixed
- Modular (you can add or rearrange pieces)
- Easy to disassemble
- Customisable to your space
