Additional materials needed for this project:

  • Concrete (In-ground application)
  • Hammer drill (On-ground application)
  • Dynabolts (On-ground application)
  • Impact driver or drill
  • Measuring tape
  • Angle Grinder (for advanced installations)
  • Safety gloves and goggles

Your step-by-step guide

  1. In-ground Installation

Measure your positions and dig your holes

Dig your hole depth according to desired height of screen
  2. Time to install posts

Repeat steps ensuring posts are in line with the first post
  3. On-ground Installation

Mark and drill four (4) holes with a hammer drill

  4. Install posts

    Fix to concrete with dynabolts

    Make sure posts are level

For the rest of the posts, measure 910mm to the centre of each post.

  5. Install bottom brackets

Use 2 brackets for joining posts and 1 bracket for outside post
  6. Get your screens ready

Making the holes bigger on the screen helps the screen to expand and contract in different temperatures.

Slide frame onto screen with the top and bottom frame overlapping sides, then secure at centre on top and bottom.

Side frame : pre-drill a 3mm hole 300mm from top and another 600mm from the bottom.  Make the holes bigger on the screen with a 12mm drill bit.

  7. Advanced Installations

In-ground installations on uneven land, may require cutting screens, frames and posts to the correct size.

Use a string line to help you level the top of your posts
  8. Install Screens

Screens should sit evenly in the middle of the posts.  Fix screen to posts with supplied screws into pre-drilled holes.

Make sure screws aren't too tight to allow for expansion & contraction.

Repeat steps until all screens are attached and secure!

Enjoy your new elevated outdoor space!
