How to build a pet enclosure to protect your furry friends
If you have a furry friend at home, you understand just how much they hold a space in your heart. Sometimes, keeping them indoors can be sweet, yet stressful and stinky. That’s why building a pet enclosure with pet mesh is a great solution. Pet mesh is a strong and flexible solution to keeping your pets safe and sound in their own little home – and keep those stinky smells out of the house.
Jack will show you how to build a simple pet enclosure with Jack cage making mesh.
Think about how much space your furry friend needs in their play area. Some pets just want extra room to stretch their paws.

- Staple gun
- Tape measure
- Timber slats
- Power drill
- Wood saw
- Safety gloves and glasses
- Builders square
- Screws and hinges
- Wire cutter
- Steel corner brackets
Your step-by-step guide
- Pick the right mesh based on the size of your pet   We used Cage Mesh for small - medium animals We used Cage Mesh for small - medium animals    - Note : We want to make sure all pets are safe! Treat new galvanised wire mesh by shaving off zinc spikes with a utility knife, scrub using a mild vinegar solution, and rinsing thoroughly with clean water. 
- Create your frame- Cut timber for sides, back and roof of the guinea pig pen. Make sure its big enough for your guinea pigs to move around. - Assemble frame by screwing the pieces together.    
- Measure, cut and attach mesh   Use heavy shears, tin snips or bolt cutters depending on your wire guage! Don't forget your safety gloves and glasses! Make sure there are no gaps so your furry friend doesn't escape
- Build and assemble your guinea pig pen   - Time to connect all pieces together. Use steel corner brackets to connect together.    - Charlie is almost ready for his new home.    - Look how happy Charlie is!    A safe place for your furry friend. A safe place for your furry friend.
